Well, Carney is early Maastrichtian, so he would have missed the asteroid by a couple million years.
(Not that geological time has much meaning in this strip….)
My goal is to use the phrase “early Maastrichtian” in casual conversation this week.
You’ll need to hang with Mesozoic paleontologists. (The Mesozoic geologists would say “lower Maastrichtian”.)
