Sorry for the day delay, everyone—this time of year is pretty hectic.
Side note: One of my favorite German words is the one for “turtle”: Schildkröte. Literally, it means “shield toad”.
Same in Dutch: Schildpad.
Ah, and “paddock” is an older English word for “toad” (used, e.g., in Shakespeare’s MacBeth). Must be a cognate.
I see that abelisaurs lack adaptations for durophagy.
